CHILI SAUCE

1 gal. finely cubed tomatoes
3 large onions
3 peppers
1 Tbsp. mixed spice
2 c. sugar
1 c. vinegar

Wash and core tomatoes. Do not peel. Let drain over-
night in a colander. Add onions and peppers. Put mixed spice
in a cheesecloth bag. Put in ingredients in a large kettle.
Cook over low heat, stirring occasionally. Cook until thick,
at least 2 hours. Place in jars and seal.
