CHICKEN BROCCOLI CHOWDER|
2 c. sliced carrots
2 c. water
2 c. milk
1 1/2 c. grated Swiss or
1 1/2 c. cooked chicken
10 3/4 oz. can condensed
10 oz. frozen chopped broccoli
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. salt
1/2 c. flour
Combine carrots, water, broth, chicken, broccoli, onion
and salt. Boil over medium high heat. Reduce to simmer and
cover (10 minutes). Bring again to full boil. Gradually add
flour and milk mixture, stirring constantly. Simmer for 10
minutes and occasionally stir. Remove from heat. Stir in
cheese. Cover. Let stand 3 to 5 minutes.
