NANNIE'S SPAGHETTI SAUCE 1 1/2 lb. lean hamburg 1/4 c. butter (margarine or corn oil) 2 large onions, chopped 1/2 c. green peppers, chopped 1/4 c. fresh parsley, chopped 1 tsp. dried basil leaves, flaked 1 (28 oz.) can whole tomatoes 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 can tomato paste 1/2 tsp. oregano 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/4 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. ground pepper 1/2 tsp. garlic salt Saute onions in butter until yellow; drain and set aside. Saute peppers in remaining oil. In large saucepot brown hamburg in salt. Add whole tomato sauce, tomato paste, onions and peppers. Heat and gradually add individually remaining seasonings, stirring well as each ingredient is added to the sauce. Simmer 1 to 3 hours (the longer the better). A spicy, richly flavored sauce!
