VEGETABLE BEEF BARLEY SOUP
1 lb. ground beef
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
1/2 c. chopped onions
1 clove garlic, minced
7 c. water
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 c. barley
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped carrots
1/2 tsp. basil leaves
1 bay leaf
1 (16 oz.) can cut green beans
Saute onions. Add ground beef. Cook until meat is
done. Wash barley. Add all the ingredients, except green
beans. Simmer until vegetables are done, about 2 hours. Add
