Combine bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan with lettuce. Then
celery and bell pepper. Add frozen peas. Top with onions.
Cover with a thin layer of mayonnaise. Sprinkle sparingly with
sugar. Add carrots, cheese and bacon bits. Cover and refrig-
erate for 12 hours.
