TWENTY-FOUR HOUR SLAW

1 large cabbage, shredded for
slaw
2 green peppers
2 large onions
3 carrots

Mix in pan:
1 pt. vinegar
2 1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/2 tsp. turmeric
1 tsp. mustard seed
1 Tbsp. salt
Mix and boil for 3 minutes. Pour over chopped or sliced
vegetables. Let set in refrigerator. Stir several times,
keeping container closed at all times.
