BEAN SOUP 2 medium potatoes, chopped 8 oz. salt meat 1 (No. 10) can Ro-Tel tomatoes 2 c. cooked beans (white, pinto or red) 1 large onion, chopped 125 to 150 strands (No. 4) spaghetti, broken into 2-inch pieces 1 can vegetable soup 4 c. water 2 Tbsp. cooking oil Cover meat well with water and bring to a boil for 15 minutes. Rinse in fresh water, then return to cooking in fresh water for another 15 minutes. Repeat step 2, then chop into bite-size pieces. Place onions, prepared salt meat and oil in large pot; cook until onions begin to turn clear. Add potatoes. When onions are clear, add all ingredients except spaghetti. When soup comes to full boil, add spaghetti and cook until tender, about 15 minutes.
