SOUP KETTLE SUPPER|
8 slices bacon
1 c. diced, cooked ham
1 (10 oz.) pkg. mixed
1 (16 oz.) can tomatoes
2 c. broth or water
1 c. cooked rice
1/4 tsp. salt
dash of pepper
1/4 c. chopped parsley
Dice bacon and cook in a large kettle. Remove bacon and
all but 2 tablespoons of bacon drippings. Saute ham in drip-
pings until brown. Add bacon and remaining ingredients.
Cover; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until vegeta-
bles are tender (about 15 minutes).
