TACO SALAD 1/2 lb. ground meat 1 onion, chopped 1 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. salt and pepper 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce 1 head lettuce 1 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated 1 (8 oz.) can olives, chopped crushed tortilla chips 1 (4 oz.) can diced chilies 1 tomato, diced taco sauce Brown meat and onion; drain. Add oregano, salt, pepper, olives, chilies and tomato sauce; simmer over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Tear lettuce into salad bowl; add grated cheese, tomato, taco sauce, crushed tortilla chips and meat mixture. Toss until well mixed. Serve immediately. Serve with sour cream and guacamole. Serves 6.
