DINNER IN A CAN|
1 lb. ground beef
4 tomatoes, sliced
1 can whole kernel corn,
butter or margarine
salt and pepper
1 c. Bisquick
1/3 c. milk
4 (2 lb.) coffee cans
heavy duty aluminum foil
Grease coffee cans. Shape beef into patties. Place a
patty in each can. Top each patty with 3 tomato slices and 1/4
of the corn. Dot with butter. Season. Cover each can secure-
ly with foil. Place on grill, 3 to 4 inches from hot coals.
Cook 20 to 30 minutes. Mix Bisquick and milk with fork for
dumpling batter. Remove foil and drop small spoonfuls of
batter into can. Cook, uncovered, 10 minutes; cover and
continue to cook 10 minutes longer. Eat directly from the can.
