MACARONI GOULASH 1 lb. elbow macaroni 1 lb. sweet Italian sausage 1 clove garlic, minced 3 medium green peppers, chopped 2 medium onions, sliced 2 lb. lean ground beef 2 (8 oz. each) cans tomato sauce 1 can stewed tomatoes 1 Tbsp. parsley flakes 1/4 tsp. oregano 1/2 tsp. chili powder salt and pepper to taste Boil sausage for 5 minutes. Remove from water. Cut into 1/2-inch pieces. Place in heavy skillet and cook over medium heat until browned. Add garlic, onions and peppers and cook until tender. Add ground beef and cook until brown, stirring with a fork to break up. Add rest of ingredients, except macaroni and mix well. Cover and simmer about 30 minutes. Cook macaroni, drain and add to meat mixture. Simmer for 20 minutes. You may want to mix macaroni and meat mixture in large kettle. Makes 8 to 10 servings.
