QUICK AND EASY SHEPHERD'S PIE

2 lb. ground chuck
4 to 5 c. mashed potatoes
(instant or fresh)
1/4 c. chopped onion
butter or margarine
grated Cheddar cheese

Brown ground chuck in skillet along with the chopped
onions until the beef is brown and onions are tender. Spoon
this mixture into a buttered 4-quart casserole dish. Spread
the mashed potatoes over the meat and dot with plenty of butter
or margarine. Top with lots of grated Cheddar cheese. Cook in
preheated 350 degrees oven for 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese is
well melted.
