1 large onion or 2 medium
1 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. shortening
5 to 7 c. dry bread cubes
1/2 c. green olives, chopped
1/2 c. black olives, chopped
1 medium can cooked carrots,
water to moisten
1 tsp. poultry seasoning
1 tsp. sage
salt and pepper to taste
Brown onion and celery in shortening. Add bread cubes
and moisten with water and carrot juice until moist throughout.
Add olives, carrots and seasonings. Stir well and stuff turkey
cavity while dressing is hot.
Note: This turns out very moist and a meal in itself!
