LASAGNE WITH SALAMI|
8 oz. pkg. lasagne noodles
1/2 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. onion, chopped
6 oz. can tomato paste
8 oz. can tomato sauce
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 tsp. sweet basil
1 tsp. dried parsley flakes
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. leaf oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. creamed cottage cheese
1/4 c. diced salami
1 c. shredded cheese
Cook lasagne noodles as directed on package. Brown beef
with onion in skillet. Add tomato paste, sauce, garlic, basil,
parsley flakes, 1/2 teaspoon salt, oregano and 1/8 teaspoon
pepper. Simmer 1/2 to 1 hour. Combine cottage cheese, salami,
egg, 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/8 teaspoon pepper. In 12 x 8-inch
baking dish, alternate layers of 1 to 2 thicknesses of noodles,
cottage cheese mixture, meat mixture and cheese, ending with
cheese. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven and let
stand 15 minutes before serving.
