MEAT LOAF 2 1/2 to 3 lb. ground chuck 1 large egg 1/4 c. evaporated milk 1/2 tsp. salt 1 small can tomato sauce 1/2 c. catsup 3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce 1 1/4 c. crushed saltine crackers 1 medium-sized onion, chopped 1/2 tsp. garlic powder Mix all ingredients well and place in pan. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook meat loaf about 20 to 25 minutes, then reduce heat to 300 degrees and cook 35 to 40 minutes more. (If meat loaf is over 3-inches thick, cook slower and longer to get well done in center.) I use a heavy roasting pan to prevent meat loaf from burning on bottom.
