SALISBURY STEAK

1/2 c. chopped onion
1 tsp. vegetable oil
1 1/2 lb. ground beef
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can mushrooms
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1 egg, slightly beaten
dash of pepper
1/4 c. water

Put onion and oil in a 1 quart casserole dish. Cook in
microwave on High for 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Add
ground beef, 1/4 cup soup, bread crumbs, egg and pepper. Mix
well. Shape into 6 patties and arrange in a 2 quart utility
dish. Cook in microwave on High for 8 minutes. Turn patties
over halfway through cooking time. Blend remaining soup with
water and pour over meat. Cook in microwave on High for 2 to 4
minutes or until meat is cooked as desired. Turn meat over and
rearrange halfway through cooking time.
