SWEET AND SOUR PORK CHOPS
1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
4 chops (1-inch thick)
1 Tbsp. oil
1 (4 oz.) can mushrooms
1 green pepper, cut in strips
1 onion, sliced
2 Tbsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. soy sauce
2 Tbsp. vinegar
pepper to taste
Mix flour, salt and pepper. Dredge chops in mixture.
Brown in oil. Drain mushrooms (save liquid). Add water to
liquid for 1 cup. Add sugar, soy sauce and vinegar. Mix well.
Add onions, pepper and mushrooms to chops. Pour liquid over
chops. Cook over low heat for 45 minutes. (Can be doubled.) This is a recipe from our database at Cookbooks On/Line!
