BEEF PATTIES WITH BARBECUE SAUCE Mix thoroughly: 1 lb. ground chuck or hamburger 1/2 c. oats (dry) 2/3 c. canned cream 2 Tbsp. chopped onion dash of pepper Place 1 teaspoon salad oil in skillet. Dipping hands in water (this is a must) shape meat mixture into small patties. Cook over medium heat about 10 minutes or until brown. Drain off grease from skillet. Pour following sauce over top and simmer 10 minutes more. Sauce: 4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 2 Tbsp. vinegar 4 tsp. sugar 2/3 c. catsup 6 Tbsp. water 4 Tbsp. finely chopped onions (optional) This is a recipe that can be prepared ahead and reheat- ed. Can be frozen.
