MACARONI AND SAUSAGE CASSEROLE

1 lb. Italian sausage
3/4 c. chopped celery
1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. basil
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. cooked macaroni
6 oz. sliced Mozzarella or
Swiss cheese, cut in strips

Remove casing from sausage. Brown in skillet. Add
celery and cook lightly. Drain fat. Add tomato sauce, basil
and salt. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes in 1 1/2 quart casserole.
Layer half the macaroni, half meat and half the cheese. Repeat
layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
