STROMBOLI

3 c. flour
1 pkg. yeast
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. milk
2 Tbsp. cooking oil
1 egg

Combine 1 1/4 cups of flour, yeast, sugar and salt in
bowl. Blend. Heat water, milk and oil until warm. Add egg
and warm liquid to flour mixture. Blend well. Add remaining
flour. Knead about 5 minutes until smooth and pliable. Cover.
Let rise one hour. Roll into rectangle shape and layer with
filling.

Filling:
1/4 lb. baked or chipped ham
1/4 lb. hard salami
1/4 lb. pepperoni
1/2 c. onions, chopped
1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
1/4 lb. hot pepper cheese,
sliced
1/4 lb. Brick or Provolone
cheese, sliced
Layer lengthwise on dough, beginning with meat then
pepper, onion and cheese. Alternate meats and cheeses. Fold
ends up then pinch lengthwise down center to seal. Bake at
350 degrees for 30 minutes. Let cool 5 minutes before slicing. Serve
hot.
