BEEF AND CABBAGE CASSEROLE

1 lb. hamburger
1 onion, chopped
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can tomato soup
1 soup can water
salt and pepper to taste
1/3 to 1/2 c. raw rice
4 c. chopped cabbage

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Cook beef and onion in large
skillet until onion is tender, stirring with fork. Add soup,
water, salt, pepper and rice. Bring to boil. Reduce heat and
let simmer 15 minutes. In 3 quart casserole, place cabbage.
Pour beef mixture over cabbage. Cover and bake 1 hour.
