1 c. buttermilk
1 c. flour (level)
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt (optional)

Blend egg and buttermilk. Add dry ingredients. Beat
until smooth. Makes 12 medium size pancakes. Bake on Teflon,
about 57 calories each. Sugar free; 1 gram fat per cake.
This recipe originated in Chicago about 40 years ago.
It was on a card passed out by Bowman Dairy, now just family
