DUTCH MEAT LOAF|
1 1/2 lb. lean ground beef
1 c. fresh bread crumbs
1 medium onion, chopped
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. water
2 Tbsp. sugar
1 Tbsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. prepared mustard
Lightly mix beef, bread crumbs, onions, 1/2 cup sauce,
egg, salt and pepper. Shape into loaf in shallow pan. Combine
remaining tomato sauce with rest of ingredients. Pour over
loaf. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, basting loaf several
times. Makes 5 to 6 servings.
