SMOKY SAUSAGE AND RICE|
1 lb. smoked country-style
1 can cut green beans
1 c. chopped onions
1 Tbsp. bacon drippings or oil
3/4 c. ketchup
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
1 tsp. mustard
1 1/2 tsp. liquid smoke
2 bouillon cubes
3 c. rice
Cover and cook sausage in 1/2 cup water for 5 minutes.
Remove from water and cut in 1-inch pieces. Drain beans,
reserving liquid. Saute onions in bacon drippings; add 1/2 cup
liquid and remaining ingredients except rice. Simmer 10
minutes. Stir in rice. Season to taste. Cover and continue
simmering 20 minutes.
