SAUCY CHEESE BAKE|
1 (8 oz.) pkg. Pennsylvania
Dutch egg noodles
1 lb. ground beef
2 cans (15 oz. each) tomato
1/2 c. onion
1 Tbsp. chopped parsley
1/4 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. oregano
3 c. shredded Cheddar or
Mozzarella cheese (about 12
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cook noodles according to package
directions. In medium skillet, brown ground beef; drain. Stir
in tomato sauce, onion, parsley, basil, garlic powder and
oregano. Simmer, stirring occasionally, 15 minutes.
In 3-quart oblong baking dish, layer 1/2 sauce, noodles
and cheese. Repeat, ending with cheese. Bake 25 minutes or
until heated through. Makes about 4 servings.
