HAWAIIAN HAYSTACKS
(Microwave)
1 c. raw chicken (I use the
deboned chicken breasts)
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. soy sauce
1 tsp. lemon juice
dash of garlic
1 can cream of chicken soup
1/2 can broth (from cooking
chicken)
2 c. cooked rice
1 small can chow mein noodles
1/2 c. chopped celery
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
3 green onions, chopped
1 (15 oz.) can pineapple
tidbits, drained
1/2 c. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 c. slivered almonds

Mix sugar, soy sauce, lemon juice and garlic. Pour over
chicken and cover with plastic wrap. Cook in microwave until
chicken is done. Let cool and then cut into chunks. Mix
chicken soup and broth until blended. Add chicken to this
gravy and stir. Microwave 4 to 5 minutes.
Layer in 9 x 9-inch glass dish as follows: cooked rice,
chow mein noodles, chicken and gravy, celery, green peppers and
onions. Top with pineapple and Cheddar cheese. Microwave for
5 minutes until cheese melts. Top with almonds.
