PORK CHOPS AND RICE

4 medium-sized pork chops
2 c. rice, uncooked
1 envelope onion soup mix
salt
pepper
2 to 3 c. water

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Brown pork chops (season to
taste). Pour uncooked rice in the bottom of large casserole
dish. Place pork chops on top of rice. Sprinkle onion soup
mix over pork chops. Add 2 to 3 cups of water (do not stir).
Cover and bake 1 hour.
Note: For every additional cup of rice used, add 1 cup
of water and 1/2 envelope more of onion soup.
