1/4 c. vegetable oil
1 c. chopped celery
1 c. sliced onions
2 green onions (scallions),
1/2 c. chopped green pepper
1 tsp. sugar
2 Tbsp. flour
1 can (20 to 28 oz.) tomatoes,
1 c. beef broth
1 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. celery seed
1/8 tsp. hot red pepper sauce
2 lb. shrimp, cooked and

Heat oil in saucepan. Mix in celery, onions, green
onions, green pepper, sugar and flour. Cook over low heat,
stirring frequently for 10 minutes. Stir in tomatoes; cook 10
minutes, stirring frequently. Add broth, salt, chili powder,
celery seed and hot red pepper sauce. Cover loosely and cook
over low heat for 1 hour. Add shrimp; heat. Taste for season-
ing. Serve with boiled rice.
