TURKEY TAMALE PIE|
3 c. diced turkey
1 Tbsp. oil
1 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 large can tomato paste
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 c. corn meal
4 c. water
Cook onions and garlic in hot oil. Add tomato paste,
small amount of water, spices and meat. Simmer 1/2 hour until
thick. Cook 1 cup corn meal in 4 cups water and 1/2 teaspoon
salt. Cook until thick. Use a double boiler. Line bottom and
sides of greased casserole dish with mush mixture. Add meat
mixture and cover top with rest of mush mixture. Bake at 350 degrees
for 30 to 40 minutes.
