HAMBURGER CORN PONE PIE

1 lb. ground beef
1/3 c. chopped onions
1 Tbsp. shortening
2 tsp. chili powder
3/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 c. canned tomatoes
1 c. kidney beans, drained
1/2 pkg. corn muffin mix or 1
c. corn bread batter

Brown meat and onion in shortening. Add seasonings and
tomatoes; cover; simmer 15 minutes. Add beans. Turn into
baking dish and top with corn muffin mix. Bake 20 minutes at
425 degrees.
