COSTELLO'S VARIATION ON THE DONNOR KABOB
(Beef)
ground beef (quantity you
need)
1/4 c. oil

Seasonings:
onion, garlic, kummel, celery
powder and pepper

Vegetables:
celery, mushrooms, peppers,
carrots and leeks (cut up
to half the amount of
hamburger)

Toppings:
shredded cheese
shredded lettuce
chopped onion
Pita pockets, halved and
toasted

Make sure to cut vegetables uniformly.
Place oil and seasonings in large frying pan. Heat;
add meat and brown. Remove meat. Add vegetables, you may need
a touch more oil; stir-fry vegetables and add meat. Mix.
Serve with toppings. Put meat mixture in pockets and add your
choice of toppings. You might like a dash of Tabasco sauce or
hot sauce.
