CHRISTMAS BREAKFAST CASSEROLE (Sausage) 4 to 5 slices sourdough bread, cubed 2 c. grated Cheddar cheese* 1 lb. link sausage* 4 large or 5 small eggs 3/4 tsp. dry mustard 2 1/4 c. milk 1 can mushroom soup 1/2 soup can milk Place cubed bread into greased 9 x 13-inch casserole. Sprinkle cheese on bread. Brown, drain, cut up and place link sausage on cheese. Beat together eggs, dry mustard and milk. Pour liquid over casserole. Cover and refrigerate overnight. Before baking, dilute 1 can mushroom soup to 1/2 can milk. Pour over ingredients and bake for 1 hour at 300 degrees, uncovered. Serves 8. *The more of these the better.
