LASAGNE CASSEROLE

1 lb. lean ground beef
2 to 3 cloves minced garlic
1 large onion
salt and pepper
12 oz. tomato paste
6 oz. tomato sauce
6 oz. sliced mushrooms
(include liquid)
dried parsley
1 pkg. lasagna noodles
cottage cheese or Ricotta
cheese
grated Jack or Mozzarella
cheese
Parmesan cheese

Cook ground beef and saute garlic and onion and drain.
Add salt and pepper, tomato paste, tomato sauce, mushrooms
(include liquid), rinse cans with a little water. To make
moist add more water. Simmer at least 2 hours. Layer in 13 x
9-inch pan, starting with cooked lasagne noodles on bottom.
Add sauce, then cheeses, ending with Parmesan cheese. Freezes
well. Cook at 325 degrees to 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Casse-
role is done when center bubbles and is hot.
