CHEESE PUDDING

3 c. grated cheese, lightly
packed
8 slices bread
4 eggs
2 c. milk
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. dry mustard

Layer bread and cheese in 8 x 11-inch casserole or pan
large enough to accommodate the 8 slices of bread (I like the
one layer). Mix other ingredients using an egg beater. Pour
over bread and cheese. See that it reaches all corners. Let
stand in cool place several hours. Bake at 375 degrees at least 1
hour.
Excellent supper dish with a tossed green salad or as a
foil for tenderloin or Canadian bacon slices and a salad. Or
use instead of a pastry shell or biscuit with chicken ala king.
