BRUNCH DISH FOR GUESTS

16 to 20 slices English muffin
bread, butter both sides
1/2 lb. grated Cheddar cheese
1/2 lb. grated Monterey Jack
1 pkg. thin sliced ham
8 eggs
3 c. milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. dry mustard

Butter 9 x 13-inch glass baking dish. Cover bottom with
one layer of buttered bread. Add 1 layer of ham, 1 layer of
cheese (both kinds); top with one layer of bread. Mix eggs,
milk, salt and mustard together and pour this mixture over
bread, etc. Refrigerate overnight. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
Cut in squares and serve with sauce.
To make sauce, mix 1/4 cup sour cream with 1 can cream
of mushroom soup and add fresh sliced mushroom, then heat in
saucepan until warm. Yield: 8 servings.
