5 qt. can tomatoes (put
through blender or use
tomato puree)
1 c. olive oil
10 lb. ground beef
2 c. chopped onions
2 c. tomato sauce
4 bay leaves
2 cloves garlic

Brown meat and onions in olive oil. Pour off excess
fat. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, bay leaves, garlic and salt
to taste. Cover saucepot and simmer over low heat for 2 1/2
hours, stirring frequently. Add 2 cups tomato paste and simmer
uncovered over very low heat, stirring occasionally, for 2
hours. Remove bay leaves and serve over cooked spaghetti. Or
use as meat sauce for etc. Freezes well.
