BEEF NOODLE BAKE|
(A casserole even men like)
1 lb. lean beef, cut into
1 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1/2 c. chopped onion
1 3/4 c. canned tomatoes
1 (4 oz.) pkg. wide noodles,
1/2 c. shredded sharp process
Brown meat in small amount of hot fat. Add salt, the
pepper and onion and cook until onion is tender. Stir in
tomatoes and simmer covered 20 minutes. Cook noodles until
tender in boiling salted water; drain. Mix meat and noodles
together and pour into greased casserole. Sprinkle with
cheese. Bake in moderate 375 degrees oven for 25 minutes.
If more cheese desired, layer noodle and tomato mixture
alternately with cheese when placing in casserole dish.
