5-HOUR STEW

2 lb. cubed stewing meat
3 diced potatoes
3 diced carrots
1 large onion, diced
1 can tomatoes (2 c.)
1/2 c. water
3 Tbsp. Minute tapioca
1 Tbsp. sugar
salt and pepper to taste

Brown meat in a small amount of shortening. Then
combine with all other ingredients and turn into a covered
casserole. Set temperature of oven to 250 degrees and bake for 5
hours.
