1 pkg. hot Italian sausage,
skinned and crumbled
1 large pkg. shredded
1 green pepper, thinly diced
1 small onion, thinly diced
small amount Italian seasoning
1 1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. Bisquick
1/4 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Fry pepper in pan with water and Italian seasoning until
slightly limp and water has evaporated; remove. Cook sausage
in same pan until done. In ungreased 9 1/2 or 10-inch pie
plate, layer sausage, cheese, pepper and onion, then mix up a
little. In blender, mix milk, Bisquick, eggs, salt and pepper
on high for 1 minute. Pour in pie plate. Bake at 350 degrees for 50
minutes. Let stand for 5 to 7 minutes. Refrigerate leftovers.
Any meat can be substituted for the sausage and some
partially cooked diced potatoes can be added if desired.
