OVEN BEEF STEW 1 1/2 lb. stew beef 5 peeled, cubed potatoes 2 c. chopped celery 4 Tbsp. Minute tapioca 5 peeled, sliced carrots 1 pkg. dry onion soup mix 1 Tbsp. sugar 1 1/2 c. tomato or V-8 juice 2 c. water or beef broth Put stew meat and vegetables in large roasting pan. Mix tapioca, soup mix, sugar, tomato/V-8 juice and water-broth in large container and mix well. Pour over meat and vegetables. Cover tightly. Bake at 350 degrees for 2 to 2 1/2 hours. Do not open oven door during cooking.
