1 lb. ground beef
32 oz. jar spaghetti sauce
3/4 c. water
1 tsp. basil leaves
1 tsp. oregano leaves
12 oz. carton creamed cottage
1 egg, beaten
9 pieces lasagne, uncooked
12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
slices or 3 c. shredded
Mozzarella cheese
1/3 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large skillet brown ground beef;
drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce, water, basil and oregano.
Simmer 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. In small bowl
combine cottage cheese and egg. In ungreased 13 x 9-inch pan
layer 1/3 of noodles, 1/3 of meat sauce, 1/3 of cottage cheese
mixture and 1/3 of Mozzarella cheese. Repeat layers ending
with Mozzarella on top. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese. Cover
with foil and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove foil and
bake an additional 25 to 30 minutes. Let stand 10 to 15
minutes before serving. Makes 8 servings.
