SLOW-COOKER CASSEROLE

2 large-size potatoes
2 to 3 medium carrots, sliced
1 (No. 2) can peas, drained
3 medium onions, sliced
1 1/2 lb. ground beef, browned
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 can tomato soup
1 can water

Place layers of the vegetables in the order given:
potatoes, carrots, peas, onions and celery. Season each layer
with salt and pepper. Put the lightly browned ground beef on
top of the celery. Mix tomato soup with water and pour into
slow-cooker. Cover and set on low for 6 to 8 hours (high 2 to
4 hours), stirring occasionally.
