(Serves 6)
6 slices bacon
1/2 lb. ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
1/2 c. catsup
1 tsp. salt
3/4 c. firmly packed brown
1 tsp. dry mustard
2 tsp. cider vinegar
1 (16 oz.) can pork and beans
1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans
1 (16 oz.) can lima or butter

Fry bacon in large skillet until crisp. Remove to paper
towel to drain; crumble. Cook ground beef in bacon fat until
done (no pink remains). Add chopped onions, saute until
tender. Combine in 3-quart baking dish, beef, onion and
catsup; add salt, brown sugar, mustard and vinegar. Partially
drain all beans and add to baking dish. Stir gently until well
mixed. Sprinkle with bacon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Note: Can be done in crock-pot.
