MICHAEL'S BAKED BEANS

2 large (28 oz. each) cans
pork and beans, drained
2 medium green peppers,
chopped
1 onion, chopped
1/4 c. barbecue sauce
1/2 c. Grandma's light
unsulfured molasses
medium can tomato sauce
1/4 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. margarine for sauteing
salt and pepper to taste

Saute green peppers, onions and garlic until onions are
translucent, drain off excess oil. Put peppers, onions and
beans in large saucepan. Over low heat add molasses, barbecue
sauce, tomato sauce, brown sugar, salt and pepper. Several
strips of bacon or pork chops may be added. Can be made ahead
and stored in refrigerator and reheated. Bake 3 hours at 350 degrees.
