1 lb. hamburger
1 onion, chopped
4 slices bacon
1/2 green pepper
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. salt
2 (No. 2) cans pork and beans
1/2 c. chopped sweet pickle
1/2 c. catsup
1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
1 Tbsp. brown sugar (optional)

Fry bacon; set aside. Brown hamburger; remove from
skillet. Use drippings to saute onions and pepper. Add all
other ingredients. Mix well and continue cooking on low heat
for 20 minutes or bake in casserole 20 to 30 minutes. Extra
bacon strips may be used on top, if baked in casserole.
