FRIED VEGETABLES 1/2 c. flour 1 tsp. baking powder milk salt to taste 1 lb. fresh vegetables: mushrooms, squash, onion, eggplant, etc. In small bowl, combine flour, baking powder and enough milk to make a batter the consistency of thick cream. Dip sliced or small whole vegetables in batter. Deep fry at high temperature for 2 to 3 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt. Serve hot as appetizers, etc. Serve 6 to 8.
