MEXICAN RICE

1/2 stick butter or margarine
1 medium onion, chopped
1 medium bell pepper, chopped
1 c. raw rice
1 can (No. 2) tomatoes
1 1/2 cans water
Lawry's seasoning salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. comino
1 Tbsp. oregano
1 Tbsp. chili powder

Saute butter or margarine, onion and bell pepper 2 to 3
minutes. Add raw rice. Stir until covered with butter. Add
tomatoes and water. Sprinkle with seasoning salt. Add sugar,
pepper, comino, oregano and chili powder. Simmer about 20
minutes. Juice will be gone.
