SWISS-GERMAN GREEN BEANS|
1 lb. cooked fresh green beans
or 1 can French style green
beans or 1 box frozen
French style green beans
2 Tbsp. butter
2 Tbsp. flour
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. or more sugar
1/2 tsp. grated onion or 3
small green onions, chopped
Swiss cheese slices
Make a cream sauce by blending melted butter and flour
and adding sour cream. Add salt, sugar and onion. Mix in
greased casserole with green beans. Cover mixture with cheese
slices and sprinkle with paprika. Bake until cheese bubbles
and paprika turns golden brown.
