6 medium sweet potatoes,
cooked and peeled
3/4 c. white sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 medium orange, slice into
very thin slices
1/4 c. butter
nutmeg and allspice
1/2 c. miniature marshmallows

Cut sweet potatoes in 1/2-inch slices. Combine sugar
and salt. Cut butter into small pieces. Begin by placing a
layer of sweet potatoes in bottom of 1 1/2 quart buttered
casserole. Sprinkle with part of sugar mixture, then dot with
part of butter and sprinkle with a little nutmeg and a very
little allspice. Next lay on 4 or 5 orange slices. Continue
layering until all ingredients are used, ending with sugar and
butter. Bake uncovered in 375 degrees oven for 30 minutes or until
glazed. Add marshmallows last few minutes to melt. Serves 6.
