SAUERKRAUT 1 1/2 lb. sauerkraut 1 large onion 2 Tbsp. bacon drippings 5 juniper berries 1 Tbsp. sugar 1 raw potato 1 c. water Heat drippings in a heavy pan. Saute onions. Add sauerkraut, juniper berries, sugar and 1 cup water; cook for 1 hour. Grate the raw potato. Mix with 2 tablespoons flour and add to sauerkraut. Cook 15 minutes longer.
